I am writing to inform you about some ongoing challenges we are facing in B= angladesh regarding international payments and order processing, and reques= ting for your support to overcome these difficulties on an urgent basis. Currently, there are two legal methods for making international payments fr= om Bangladesh: Telegraphic Transfer (TT) and Letter of Credit (LC). Unfortu= nately, both options have become increasingly difficult in recent years. 1. TT Payments: TT payments require approval from the central bank (Banglad= esh Bank), which typically only allows small transactions (USD 500=961000).= The approval process is complex and, in most cases, TT applications are re= jected. 2. LC Payments: While LC is the more commonly used method, it has become hi= ghly complicated and time consuming in recent years due to the ongoing doll= ar crisis and low foreign currency reserves. It now takes a minimum of one = month for banks to transmit an LC. Many customers have urgent delivery & pr= oject requirements and such delays have caused us to lose several orders ov= er the past few years. The economical condition of our Banks is not good and all of the purchasers= are facing extreme level of problem for TT, LC etc from the banks of Bangl= adesh. The issue is not only the opening LC or sending TT, also the lack of= enough foreign reserve. To address this, we have been processing payments = and orders through our Malaysian company under a =93Bill-to, Ship-to=94 arr= angement: billing is done to Marksan, Malaysia, and shipments are made dire= ctly to BANGLAMARK in Bangladesh. This method has proven effective in ensur= ing timely deliveries and avoiding banking delays. For your reference, I ha= ve attached order confirmation copies from some of our supplier showing inv= oices issued to Marksan, Malaysia, and shipments to BANGLAMARK for all Govt= and Private projects. Without this option we have no way to run the busine= ss smoothly, which will create a tremendous bad impact on the market. At present, we have several urgent customer orders in progress. Processing = them through Bangladeshi banking channels would take 30=9640 days, with no = guarantee of LC issuance. This delay could lead to order cancelations and t= he risk of losing business to competitors. So we need special consideration= for the payment of the business. We already awarded two orders for Unileve= r and SML packaging Ltd which we have to handover within 25th June and 30th= June. I am writing to inform you about some ongoing challenges we are facing= in Bangladesh regarding international payments and order processing, and r= equesting for your support to overcome these difficulties on an urgent basi= s.

Currently, there are two legal methods for making international paymen= ts from Bangladesh: Telegraphic Transfer (TT) and Letter of Credit (LC). Un= fortunately, both options have become increasingly difficult in recent year= s.

1. TT Payments: TT payments require approval from the central bank (Ba= ngladesh Bank), which typically only allows small transactions (USD 500=961= 000). The approval process is complex and, in most cases, TT applications a= re rejected.

2. LC Payments: While LC is the more commonly used method, it has beco= me highly complicated and time consuming in recent years due to the ongoing= dollar crisis and low foreign currency reserves. It now takes a minimum of= one month for banks to transmit an LC. Many customers have urgent delivery & project requirements and = such delays have caused us to lose several orders over the past few years.<= br>

The economical condition of our Banks is not good and all of the purch= asers are facing extreme level of problem for TT, LC etc from the banks of = Bangladesh. The issue is not only the opening LC or sending TT, also the la= ck of enough foreign reserve. To address this, we have been processing payments and orders through our Mala= ysian company under a =93Bill-to, Ship-to=94 arrangement: billing is done t= o Marksan, Malaysia, and shipments are made directly to BANGLAMARK in Bangl= adesh. This method has proven effective in ensuring timely deliveries and avoiding banking delays. For your refere= nce, I have attached order confirmation copies from some of our supplier sh= owing invoices issued to Marksan, Malaysia, and shipments to BANGLAMARK for= all Govt and Private projects. Without this option we have no way to run the business smoothly, which wil= l create a tremendous bad impact on the market.

At present, we have several urgent customer orders in progress. Proces= sing them through Bangladeshi banking channels would take 30=9640 days, wit= h no guarantee of LC issuance. This delay could lead to order cancelations = and the risk of losing business to competitors. So we need special consideration for the payment of the = business. We already awarded two orders for Unilever and SML packaging Ltd = which we have to handover within 25th June and 30th June. So if we can not = complete the transaction within today or tomorrow, the goods + software can not be brought to Bangladesh and it = will be a big negative impact for us in this preliminary stage.

Meantime we have more 3 confirmed order (2+3 =3D 5 orders) for this mo= nth which value is tentatively 20,000 USD. All of the projects will be in b= ad condition if we can not solve this problem immediately.   

Please note that these issues are not specific to our company but are = affecting all international transactions from Bangladesh due to this bankin= g / LC challenges.
