Studies fo= r a 275 kV / 13.8 kV consumer substation in Malaysia.The scope of work cove= rs a comprehensive insulation coordination study for both the 275 kV and 13= .8 kV systems, including a detailed review of surge protection levels, with= stand ratings, and equipment insulation margins. Based on these assessments= , recommendations will be provided to ensure compliance with international = standards and to enhance the long-term reliability of the substation.

Power Projects Secures Grid Comp= liance Study for 700 MW Solar + 300 MW BESS Hybrid Project

Power Projects has been awarded the responsibility of= conducting the Grid Compliance Study for one of the largest hybrid renewab= le initiatives in India =E2=80=94 a 700 MW Solar project integrated with a = 300 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

The scope of work inclu= des grid code compliance studies as per CEA and CTU requirements, covering = load flow, short-circuit, and stability analysis, along with reactive power= and voltage control studies. It also involves protection coordination, ins= ulation coordination, harmonics, and power quality assessments, culminating= in submission-ready compliance documentation for utility approvals.
This milestone strengthens Power Projects=E2=80=99 role as a technical par= tner in large-scale renewable integration, ensuring reliability, stability,= and regulatory compliance for future-ready grids. Power Projects= has been assigned to deliver a comprehensive suite of power system studies=  

for the planned addition of a 150 MVA, 132/= 33 kV transformer bay with 33 kV switchgear at an existing 132 kV substatio= n.

The study scope covers load flow, short-circuit, and voltage cont= rol analysis, alongside protection coordination, earthing design, surge arr= ester coordination, and cable sizing. It also includes harmonics and unbala= nce assessments (G5/5, P28/RVC, P29), G99 compliance, and arc-flash analysi= s. Advanced software tools including DIgSILENT PowerFactory and CDEGS will = be utilized to ensure precision and compliance.

Training on Renewabl= e Power Integration

Our engineers Dr.Mahalakshmi Ganapathee, Ku= zhali Moorthi , and Dhiwahar Gunasekaran recently= conducted a three-day training program for ZECO from Tanzania, 

focusing on the essentials of renewable power integration. The se= ssions combined theory with practical exercises, covering topics such as ne= twork development, graphical interfaces, and modelling of wind, solar, and = storage systems. Participants were introduced to tools and methods for buil= ding reliable energy networks and understanding the dynamics of renewable c= omponents.

The program also offered hands-on sessions with real proj= ect simulations, capability curve analysis, and studies on reactive power. = The final day emphasized practical applications like load flow calculations= , system performance checks, and report preparation, along with insights in= to integrating battery energy storage in hybrid systems.
